- What products do you
provide, what are the differences?
Currently, we provide
three versions of NaturalReader for your preference. They are Free
version, Professional version and Enterprise version. The main
difference is that the Enterprise and Professional versions support AT&T
Natural Voices, while the Free version does not. Additionally, the
Professional version has more powerful functions than the Free one and
the Enterprise version can be used to edit audio files. To find out the

- What voices are used in the
Free version?
Please note that in the
Free version, only Microsoft Mary voice is available.

- What voices are included in
the Professional and Enterprise bundles?
Both the Enterprise and
Professional bundles include 2 AT&T Natural Voices: one male voice such
as Natural Mike 16k Voice and one female voice such as Natural Crystal

- Why are Natural Voices
not available in the Free version?
Due to licensing
restrictions, we are not permitted to include these natural sounding
voices in the Free version. Although the Microsoft Mary voice may sound
a bit mechanical, it allows you to experience how the text-to-speech
technology can benefit your daily routines.

- Is NaturalReader easy to
use?
Yes,
NaturalReader is quite easy to use. Just one click, you can have your
computer read any text from any application aloud without having to copy
and paste the text from these applications. We provide add-in toolbars,
hot keys and a mini floating bar for your preference.

- Does NaturalReader support
other language voices besides English?
Yes.
Besides Mike and Crystal voices, we sell premium voices from AT&T such
as US voices Claire & Rich, UK voices Audrey & Charles, as well as
French, German and Spanish voices. You can hear samples of these voices
by clicking here.
You can order these Natural Voices after you have purchased NaturalReader. Please note that this means you have to first buy either the Enterprise or the
Professional version.

- Does NaturalReader support
XML controls?
Yes.

- Does NaturalReader support
command line? Do you provide OCX, or dll components for developers?
Not
yet. But we are working for it.

- Can I redistribute your
Free version?
Yes,
you can download it, use it and redistribute it for free. But you should
notify us and get our permission first when you intend to redistribute
it.

- Does NaturalReader support
MP3?
Yes!
NaturalReader allows you to convert text into MP3, WAV and OGG files.
You can create audio files from your email messages, articles, web
surfing, any text you want to transfer to your MP3 player and listen on
the go!
- Can NaturalReader read web
pages DIRECTLY in Internet Explorer?
Yes!
We insert a reader toolbar in your Internet Explorer application. By
simply selecting the part you want to hear, and then clicking the Text
to Voice button, you can have your computer read what you selected
aloud.

- Can NaturalReader read
text DIRECTLY in Microsoft Word?
Yes!
There is an add-in toolbar in MS Word application that offers you a
quicker and simpler way of reading text without using the Copy and Paste
function.
- Can NaturalReader read an
Adobe PDF file DIRECTLY?
Yes!
Just open a PDF file and select the desired part, you can have your
computer read it aloud by simply using the hot keys or the
NaturalReader's MiniBoard. Please note that the premise is that
NaturalReader software is running.
- Can NaturalReader read
Emails DIRECTLY?
Yes!
You can easily hear your Emails by clicking the Text to Voice button on
the Microsoft Outlook add-in toolbar. Plus you will be notified when you
receive new emails. If your email is in other email applications such
as Microsoft Outlook Express, you can simply use hot keys or
NaturalReader's MiniBoard to listen to it.
- Can
NaturalReader read within a document?
Yes!
Just highlight the part you want to listen to, click Text to Voice.

- What is your one-click
technology?
One-click technology means no hassle of copying and pasting text like
other text-to-speech software, all you have to do is select any text and
press one hot key.

- I would like to distribute
audio files created by NaturalReader software, how do I purchase
licenses?
Due to licensing restrictions,
We don't have the
right to give you the permission to redistribute the sound
files.
if you really
would like to redistribute the audio files, you may have to contact
the voice provider (AT&T, Neospeech) to buy the licenses. |
